Delete your account and data

You can delete your Women Workouts account yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. This page explains how, what happens to each kind of data, and what to do if you can no longer open the app.

Delete from inside the app

  1. Open Settings. Launch Women Workouts and go to the settings screen.
  2. Tap "Delete account". It is in the account section, near the bottom.
  3. Confirm. Read the confirmation dialog and confirm. For security, you may be asked to sign in again — this is how we verify the request is really coming from you.
  4. Cancel any active subscription. Deleting an account does not stop billing. See subscriptions below.
  5. Uninstall the app. This removes the workout history, weight entries and measurements held on your device.

If you cannot open the app

Email womenworkoutsapp@gmail.com from the email address registered to your account, with the subject line Delete my account.

We may ask one or two questions to confirm your identity before acting — not to make it harder, but so that nobody else can delete your account. We complete verified requests within 30 days and confirm by email when it is done.

Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted it cannot be recovered, and neither can any data associated with it. If you only want to stop notifications or pause training, revoking notification permission or simply not opening the app achieves that without losing anything.

Retention periods and the reasons behind them are set out in full in the privacy policy.

Your body and workout data

Weight history, BMI values, body measurements, workout history and your active plan are stored in the app's database on your own device. They are never uploaded to us, which means two things:

  • We cannot delete them for you, because we never had them.
  • Uninstalling the app deletes them completely.

Note that if you have an encrypted device backup — iCloud, Google One or a computer backup — a copy may still exist there. Removing it is done through your device backup settings, not through us.

Subscriptions are separate

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription, and neither does uninstalling the app. Billing is handled by Apple or Google and has to be cancelled with them:

  • iPhone / iPad: Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → Women Workouts → Cancel subscription.
  • Android: Google Play Store → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Women Workouts → Cancel.

Cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date to avoid being charged for another period. You keep premium access until the end of the period you already paid for.

Other options

Deletion is not your only right. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, have inaccurate details corrected, object to analytics processing or withdraw a consent you gave — without closing your account. See your rights in the privacy policy, then email us to exercise any of them.
